The two interconnected industrial buildings at 730-750 Main Street, originally constructed in 1910 and once occupied by Polaroid Corporation, have been transformed by MIT into a collaborative space for academia, industry partners, and the community.

Project involves the partial demolition of 750 Main Street (with bracing of exterior façade along Main Street), partial demolition of 730 Main Street, construction of a new 4-story below grade parking garage with Post-Tensioned concrete slabs and concrete diaphragm walls (slurry walls), construction of new structural additions to both 730 and 750 Main Street, and construction of a new penthouse and screenwalls atop both buildings.
