The new seven-story Wexford Innovation Center features tenants including Brown University, Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), and Johnson & Johnson. Brown’s School of Professional Studies occupies approximately 50,000 sf, Johnson & Johnson utilizes 31,000 sf, while CIC utilizes 66,000 sf for office space, and operates an on-site cafe and a two story public meeting space named “District Hall”. The intent of this unique space is to encourage and facilitate gathering and collaboration among local entrepreneurs, as well as foster collaboration between the tenants to drive research and innovation.

This new building is a portion of a larger redevelopment of the “Innovation and Design District” being developed on the former I-195 land. A second phase is currently planned for construction in 2020.
